Frequently asked questions

The Astrodienst Forum was opened on March 21, 2007. It has been closed since February 1, 2023. The most important contents of the closed forum are still accessible in the form of an archive on our website.

This is a list of alternative places for public astrological discussion:

• Skyscript by Deborah Holding is an excellent forum founded by Deborah Holding. It serves serious astrological discussion at a high level, and has excellent moderators. What it does not support is the 'please read my chart' type of postings. We highly recommend it.
   
  
• The British Astrological Association Facebook Astrology Group is a lively place for astrological discussion, well moderated, with thousands (5.3k) of members. One has to be a member of Facebook, to read or write in it. To find one's way around to follow older discussion themes appears not to be easy.
   
  
• Astro-Seek forum is run by the Czech programmer Petr Soural, user name petr9, since at least 2017. It is a lively place. Posts of the type 'please read my chart' are found there often, frequently also answered.  
   
  
• elsaelsa.com is a smaller forum run by astrologer Elsa, full name and location kept hidden. Elsa likes to use her forum to advertise her professional astrological offerings (Astrodienst did that as well), but free readings can also be found there.
   
  
• Linda Goodman Forum is a forum started under the name of celebrity astrologer Linda Goodman (1925-1995) in the year 2000. It is not visible who runs this forum, and what justifies the use of her name for it.
   
  
• Astrologyinternational forum: After the closing of the Astrodienst forum had been announced on 20 December 2022, a new poster with the name Oliver Jones turned up in it, out of the blue. He announced that he intended to start a kind of "sequel forum" under the name Astrologyinternational.org, where he calls himself Forum Ruler. We know nothing about Jones' astrological background or his motivation to run an astrology forum. We are reluctant to recommend his new forum at this stage.  
   
  
• Astrologyweekly forum, also known as Astrologers' Community, was founded by the Romanian astrologer Radu Moisoiu around the year 2004. It is not transparent who owns and controls the website nowadays. The forum is lively. Free answers to many kinds of chart reading questions can easily be found. The quantity of advertising can by disturbing for the users. The political sections, which are held quite separate from the astrological boards, appear dominated by right-wing and anti-western dogmatists, and adherents of various conspiracy theories. Critical moderation of these areas seems to be absent.
