Biography
British comedian who, as a master of the one-line quip, was formerly on Bob Hope's team of script writers. Monkhouse starred in the popular British "Carry On" comedy films.He divorced his first wife and re-married in 1973, a marriage that lasted until his death. In 1993 he was awarded the OBE (Order of the British Empire). Monkhouse died of prostate cancer on December 29, 2003 at his Bedforshire,England home. He was 75.
