The Swiss Ephemeris mailing list

Astrodienst maintains a mailing list for the discussion of all issues related to the Swiss Ephemeris. Developers can exchange comments, questions and experience via this mailing list. We also try to answer questions if they are of general interest.

Please, before you ask your questions: View and print the documents labelled 'Full Documenation' and 'Programmer's Documentation', and read them carefully and completely. We get too many questions which would never have been asked if the documentation had been read properly.

On 22 October 2018, the mailing list was moved to the groups.io system. It can be found at https://groups.io/g/swisseph

To subscribe to the mailing list, please send email to
swisseph+subscribe ät groups.io, use the group website or subscribe directly below on this page..

The mailing list archive contains more than 10'000 messages from the years back to the 2004. It is a valuable source of information. Most questions a software developer might have are already asked and answered in the archived messages.

To send messages to the list, once you are a subscriber, please use
swisseph ät groups.io . Please be aware that these messages go to the whole list. Only members can post messages; the postings of new members are moderated, and will appear only with a delay. Once it is obvious that a new member is not a spammer, the postings will no longer be moderated.

If you want to talk to the developers personally, please use also the public mailing list. There is no private support, only public support.
The only exception is: If you have discovered a serious security break in the code, please email to webmaster@astro.ch directly, not to the mailing list, as security holes should better not be published before there has been a chance to fix them.
